We're all done!

We are officially done planning (for the most part). All of the major decisions have been made. All that's left is little, last minute things. Earlier this week I went to Crescent Beach and finalized our menu and all of the details that go along with the reception. I am getting SOOO excited. Today I went to Elegant Expressions and put a deposit on the cake. I guess that is one thing I still have to decide on is the style of cake I want. I have some good ideas though. I also called the person doing our invitations and finalized our order today. Its all finally coming together. Time is going to fly by at this point because the next few months are going to be insanely busy. Matt's moving the last 2 weeks in March, we're going to D.C. to visit his sister in April, I have a bridal shower in April and May....plus work and finishing up all the wedding plans in between!!! I can not wait. Its so cool to see everything coming together. I just hope that it all turns out as elegant as I'm picturing it.

Updates!

A lot has been going on the last few weeks. Matt and I finally decided to live in Daniels Creek Apartments. We got our washer and dryer which will be delivered the day after we start moving into the new apartment. I think Matt already blogged about all that though! I am so excited to begin our new life together. I can't wait to set to decorate "our" apartment. We've slowly been going through his current apartment room by room and started to get rid of stuff and clean stuff out. He sold his old futon. I hate it, and he loves it...so that was a really sweet gesture from him. We also have settled on Elegant Expressions as our cake baker for the wedding. The cake was phenomenal and reasonably priced. Everything is starting to come together. My mom and I are going on the 16th to finalize the menu for the reception. I can't believe there's only about 4 1/2 months left before we get married!!!!

5 Months to Go!

5 Months to go... already been engaged for 9 months...

I can't believe how time just flies... these last few months will be hard having to wait through all the anticipation though... we're plugging right along with the wedding planning... Today we found out that we our approved for our aparment, which is very exciting... yesterday, we went to Sears and picked out our washer and dryer for our apartment... im so excited to not have to drive to my parents every week to do laundry.... 

we've been looking at cakes and we should have a decision in the next couple weeks...

Its awesome seeing everything come together!

We got an apartment!

We have chosen a new apartment for us to live in. Its down the street from where I live now on the other side of Webster. Send either of us an email if you want our new address. We move in March 15th. I'm overlapping the lease with my current lease so that we have 2 weeks to move everything from here to there. The biggest thing we were looking for was washer and dryer hookups. This place seem to be a lot newer than where I am now and has better window. Square footage wise its about the same size as my plae now. We're excited that we finally have chosen our first home together!

In other news, we started  looking at a few cake places. We'll probably know soon who we went with.

New Apartment

Matt and I finally settled on where we want to live! They're really nice town houses in Irondequoit. We saw them on-line and decided to go there tonight. We loved them. They're slightly bigger than the apartment Matt lives in now and it also has a big basement and tons of closets to store stuff. We are so excited! The whole way home we were talking about where we would put the furniture and how we would arrange everything. We still have to go through the application process and everything and he still has his current lease until the end of April. He's planning on moving in around March 15 and that will give him 2 weeks to move everything. I obviously won't move in until we get married. I can't wait!

As far as wedding news- the only major thing left to do is pick a cake baker. I'm going to try and set up a few apointments for Saturday morning. There's a ton of little stuff to do but we're getting there. Only 5 and 1/2 months left to go!!!

Half way point

We're just about at the half way point of our engagment. Things seem to be going quickly now. I'm just about ready to book the florist. I just wanted to meet with her one more time. Next its time to start looking at bakeries for wedding cakes. I think this will be the most fun all...lets just hope I can still fit in my wedding dress! Several people have offered to help me out with this one. We're also about ready to order the invitations, then we're pretty much done. I still haven't decided on favors but I think we're going to go with some type of candy in a cute favor box.

Also-as of yesterday we've been dating 2 years and one month!!!
