Whole Day looking at reception halls

So we looked at reception halls all day...

First we went to Golden Ponds, it was pretty nice and reasonably priced. But, there was nothing that was like wow, this is cool. It was your basic party house. It's Garden Area was a fenced in area about the size of a basketball court with a gazebo and a man made pond. It was pretty nice, but I am scared about cramming everyone in there for the reception.

On the way to the next place, Shadow Lake, Kate stopped and showed me Crescent Beach and Lake Shore. Crescent Beach is really nice, right on lake Ontario. I have been the garden area in the past when I had my dinner for my Jr. Prom there. It looks amazing in the summer. Lake Shore Country Club is pretty nice. Again, it is a reception hall with a small outdoor area that is enclosed completely by bushes.

Around noon, we stopped at Shadow Lake. Shadow Lake is probably the golf course I have played at more than any other golf course combined. Its a very nice atmosphere. The ceremony would take place right on the side of its lake, which is full of fountains. We would have a reception outdoors under a tent. It is, however, more expensive than the other places we looked at.

The last place we looked at was Brookwood Country Club. Rob & Lisa had their reception last summer there. It is very nice reception hall. The only drawback I had, is the ceremony would take place right on a fairway on a hole, which is going to piss off lots of golfers and this is the 3rd ownership group in 3 years.

Well, we got one more place to go tomorrow. The Lodge at the Green. After tomorrow, we should have a pretty good idea of which one to go with.
