The events leading up to the proposal

Well, I went to visit my friends Jon & Theresa in Buffalo for the weekend, last weekend (4/5). We went to the Galleria Mall to just browse at some rings. I ended up seeing the ring at Littman Jewelers and knew it was the perfect one. I went ahead and bought it. The sales person told us it would not be ready until Sat 4/12. I told the salesperson to let Jon pick it up Saturday morning, since he was going to be driving to Rochester anyways. I gave him my towel, to give him an excuse to give me something on 4/12.

On my way home, on the Thruway, I called Kaitlyn's parents and scheduled that I would stop by to see them at 7 that night. At about 6:30, I ran into Wegman's and got sparkling grape juice and a boston creme cake. They obviously said that it was OK. I then went and told my parents on Monday.
